How many times have you said "I'd join an indie project in my free time, but I don't know where to find them"? Or, while AAA studios are cutting jobs, watched job boards return the same five Senior Unreal Engineer postings? Real indie work happens in Discord servers, Reddit threads, and DMs to strangers. We bring it out into the open and put it next to the project page so you know what you'd actually be building.

Compensation type is a first-class filter. Rev-share roles declare the percentage range up front. No surprise unpaid asks halfway through the interview.
Attach a portfolio link or upload work directly. Cover letter is one short message. No application templates, no ATS parsing.
Filter by discipline, engine, experience, time commitment. We email you when a matching role opens. No 'we'll keep your resume on file' nonsense.
Application opens a thread between you and the studio. No recruiter in between, no ghost replies from a hiring manager you'll never meet.
Your profile shows your portfolio, skills, languages, what kinds of projects you're open to. Studios can find you proactively, but your profile stays noindex from search engines for privacy.
If you recognise yourself in any of these, this platform is built for you.
Student or self-taught, no portfolio yet, will take unpaid or rev-share to land the first shipped credit. Crewforge is structured to find you roles that match where you are, not where AAA wants you to have been.
Composer, artist, or writer with a stable income, wants meaningful indie collaboration on the side, picky about projects. Filter for rev-share or unpaid, find a project whose tone matches yours.
Has shipped games, wants to ship something they own a piece of, open to rev-share with the right project. Crewforge surfaces the rev-share roles that AAA platforms hide behind paywalls.
Nothing. Browsing, applying, setting up alerts - all free for makers. We do not charge applicants. See our FAQ for the long version.
Every role on Crewforge declares its compensation type up front (paid, rev-share, unpaid, or open to discussion). Roles without a declared type cannot be published. If the studio's specifics are vague, ask in the application thread before doing work.
Your maker profile shows the name and avatar you choose. Profile pages are noindex from search engines by default. Studios see your application + portfolio; they don't see your private inbox or other applications.
Rev-share roles declare a percentage range up front. The actual agreement happens between you and the studio once you start the conversation. We publish guides on protecting yourself in rev-share deals in the blog (Pillar 1: Forge Your Studio); read them before signing anything.
Free to join. Two minutes to set up alerts. Roles waiting.
