How it works
- Step 1
Pick your path
OAuth (Discord or Reddit) is fastest. IRL works for registered associations and platforms we cannot auto-verify.
- Step 2
Submit
Connect or fill the form. Add your tagline, tags, languages, links · the framing visitors see in the directory.
- Step 3
Admin reviews
For OAuth we verify your authority instantly. For IRL the admin reads your evidence and approves.
- Step 4
Publish events freely
Once verified, head to /events/submit. Pick your community. Event goes live immediately.
Online communities
For Discord servers we use OAuth · sign in once, we confirm you own or admin the server, done in seconds. For subreddits the flow is different: Reddit stopped giving out new OAuth keys, so we use a bio-token instead. You paste a one-time token into your Reddit bio, we read it from your public profile + check the mod list, you remove the token when verified.

Common questions
What counts as a community?
A Discord server. A subreddit. A registered association (think IGDA chapters or national trade orgs). Anywhere indie game makers gather around shared work, scene, or interest.
How does verification work?
Two paths. OAuth: connect Discord or Reddit, we check you own or admin the server. Manual: for associations you give us org name + official website + evidence, admin reviews.
What does verified status give me?
You publish events freely · no admin queue. Your community gets a detail page with Schema.org Organization markup, follower count, all your links, and an upcoming-events section.
Do you read my messages or post on my behalf?
No. We only read your guild or subreddit list · just enough to confirm authority. No messaging scope. We never write anywhere.
Can we invite other organizers to Crewforge to manage the community?
Yes. The original submitter can invite organizers. Admins can also add people manually. Each organizer can publish events, update the community's info, manage links.
What if my org has no Discord or subreddit?
Use the IRL path. You provide your official website and a short note explaining who you are within. Admin reviews and approves. Trade orgs, indie collectives, regional meetup networks · this path is for you.
