Who we are
Crewforge is a platform for indie game developers operated by Bewd Bros Studio, based in Italy. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through crewforge.games.

Data we collect
- Account data: email address and hashed password, required to use the platform.
- Profile data: display name, avatar, country, city, bio, skills, languages, portfolio, availability, compensation preferences, preferred genres and engines, favourite games, tool tags, and privacy level.
- Studio data: studio name, logo, bio, location, website, and social links.
- Content you post: devlog posts, comments, application cover messages, and messages sent to other users.
- Activity data: projects you follow, roles you save, applications, notifications, and notification preferences.
- Technical data: session tokens and IP address, collected by Supabase and Vercel infrastructure.
Why we collect it
- Service delivery (contract): to provide authentication, profiles, applications, messaging, devlogs, and notifications.
- Platform safety (legitimate interest): to enforce our Community Guidelines and apply moderation actions.
- Transactional emails (legitimate interest): to send notifications and account-critical messages.
- Analytics (legitimate interest): cookieless, anonymised page analytics via Umami. No personal data is sent.
- Error monitoring (legitimate interest): technical error reports via Sentry, without user identifiers.
Third-party services
SupabaseEU (Ireland)
Database, authentication, file storage, and realtime. All user data is stored here.

Transactional email delivery. Recipient email, name, and notification content are sent.
VercelGlobal CDN
Application hosting. Server logs include IP addresses per Vercel's policy.

Error monitoring. Stack traces and request URLs. No user identifiers are attached.
Umami CloudEU
Cookieless analytics. Page views and aggregated device data only. No personal data.
IGDB / TwitchUnited States
Game metadata for search. No user data is sent.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising.

Until local storage is cleared
Our analytics (Umami) runs without cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced mode, which only sets cookies if you click play.
Data retention
- Account and profile data: retained until you delete your account.
- Notifications: automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Invitation tokens: expire after 7 days.
- Messages: if you delete your account, your identity is removed but the message body is retained for the other party.
- Moderation reports: retained indefinitely for platform safety.
Your rights
- Access: request a copy of your personal data.
- Erasure: delete your account via Settings. Deletion is immediate.
- Rectification: correct data via your profile or settings at any time.
- Restriction: request restricted processing in certain circumstances.
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format. Data export is planned for a future release.
- Object: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Complaint: lodge a complaint with your national authority. In Italy: garanteprivacy.it.

Children
Crewforge is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.
Changes
Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
